Connie Jewell Ferguson, age 83, of Exeter
Connie Jewell Ferguson, age 83, of Exeter, Missouri passed away Monday, July 27, 2026 at her home.
She was born April 9, 1943 in Neosho, Missouri, the daughter of Dewey Thomas and Nora Martha (Wilson) Sharp. On June 16, 1962 in Neosho, Missouri she was united in marriage to Albert “Wayne” Ferguson, who preceded her in death on June 2, 2019. Also preceding her in death were her parents; brothers, Glen Sharp and Vern Sharp and sisters, Lou Brown, Mozelle Sandlin, Sue Firth, Muriel Dean Sharp, and Irma Faye (Pug) Money.
Surviving are her children, Penny Ferguson of Exeter, Missouri, Pamela Ferguson Ralls of Exeter, Missouri, and Kevin Ferguson and wife Carri of Golden City, Missouri; sister, Ruth Janene Greer of Largo, Florida; nine grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild with one on the way.
Connie grew up in Neosho, Missouri, where she attended school and graduated from Neosho High School. She dedicated much of her life to serving others, working as an activities director at several nursing homes in Kansas before later becoming a library assistant for the Missouri Migrant Education Center. Connie was a Nazarene pastor’s wife for most of her married life and loved to do anything related to church and serving the Lord.
She enjoyed painting, gardening, cooking, and participating in church activities. Above all, she treasured the time she spent with her family, who were the center of her life. Connie will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, August 1, 2026 at Newtonia I.O.O. F. Cemetery in Granby, Missouri. Pastor Josh Hall will conduct the services.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 7:00 P.M. Friday at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.
