Cindy Charlene Dalton

Cindy Charlene Dalton (Sims), 62, of Taneyville, MO

Cindy Charlene Dalton (Sims), 62, of Taneyville, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, June 29th, 2021, at her  home. She was surrounded by her family and her faithful Dachshund companions, Maddie and Millie.

Cindy was born on Saturday, April 18th, 1959 to Charles Jr. Sims and Betty Hamilton (Arnold) in Branson, Missouri.

In 1986, she married Glenn Dalton, her childhood friend, who once made fun of her red hair and how loudly she crunched her chips at the school lunch table. They overcame these early obstacles, and built a life together for over 34 years. Glenn lovingly cared for her every need until the very end.

Cindy served her community for many years as a talented florist and respected business owner, and later as a District Manager for the Taney County Soil and Water Conservation, where she worked for the last 23 years.

She was an active and devoted member of Taneyville Community Church, where she loved to serve people through community events and outreach and especially loved feeding her church family and those in need with homemade meals.

Cindy was a fiercely dedicated mom to her children, raising all of them to go on to accomplish great things. Family came first and was above all else to Cindy, and she instilled those same values in her children.

There’s nothing Cindy loved more than a cold pop from Sonic, a day full of garage sales, and dipping her toes in the creek on a warm summer evening.

Cindy was extraordinarily generous and thoughtful, and was a person that many people considered as their best friend. She was a caring daughter, a faithful wife, a loving mother, and loyal friend - but her favorite title of all was being “Nena” to her four grand babies.

Cindy was preceded in death by her father, Charles Jr., two stillborn sons Peyton and Gabriel, her niece Monica Jader, and her loyal dog of 17 years, Zoey. She is survived by her mother, Betty Hamilton, sister Julie Jader, husband Glenn Dalton, her daughter Sundee Hume (Joshua), daughter Makyna Hart (Matthew), son Logan Dalton, her two nieces Emily and Kate, two nephews Sam and David, and four precious grandchildren, Ralen, Abel, Noble, and Worthy, who were her truest pride and joy.

A visitation will be held at the Kissee-Schofield-Eakins Funeral Home in Forsyth, Missouri on
SundayJuly 4th, from 2:00 - 4:00 pm. A graveside service will be on MondayJuly 5th, at 10:00 A.M. at Helphrey Cemetery in Taneyville.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Kissee-Schofield-Eakins Funeral Home, Forsyth, MO.
