Cecil Edward “Bill” Burdiss of Cassville, Missouri passed away from cancer on Saturday, July 4, 2026 at his home.
He was born January 12, 1962 in Kansas City, Kansas the son of Cecil Kenneth and Velma Sue (Poor) Burdiss. In 1982, in Granby, Missouri he was united in marriage to Virginia Diane “Ginger” Sibley, who survives. Also surviving are three sons, Shawn Burdiss of Cassville, Missouri, Chris Burdiss of Farmington, Missouri, and Josh Leary of Cassville, Missouri; three sisters, Angel Perry of Diamond, Missouri, LaRhonda Gibson of Oklahoma and Julie McCool of Oklahoma; seven grandchildren with two great grandchildren on the way.
Preceding him in death were his parents; two sons, Billy Jagger and Bobby Burdiss; and one brother, Kenny Burdiss.
Bill grew up and attended school in Shell Knob, Missouri. He worked for many years as a concrete laborer. He was also employed by Regal Rexnord Climate Solutions in Cassville and later helped Chris Yockey with mowing. Bill enjoyed hunting for arrowheads, going catfishing, and metal detecting. Bill will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, July 9, 2026 at Mineral Springs Cemetery in Cassville, Missouri, under direction of Fohn Funeral home in Cassville. Holly Rivera will conduct the service.
