Carl Daniel Lewis, age 92, of Cassville

Carl Daniel Lewis, age 92, of Cassville, Missouri passed away Thursday, May 28, 2026, at the Missouri Veterans Home in Mt. Vernon, Missouri.

He was born May 6, 1934, in Oak Ridge, Missouri the son of Robert and Jewell (Painter) Lewis. On July 13, 1957, in Springfield, Missouri he was united in marriage to Dimple M. Williams of Exeter, Missouri, who survives. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews, including Kathy, Linda, and Deb, as well as others whose care, support, and assistance meant so much to him and Dimple.

Preceding him in death were his parents; brothers, Ward Lewis and Ezra Lewis, and sisters, Martha Sinclair and Roberta Driver.

Carl attended school in Cassville, Missouri graduating from Cassville High School in 1952. He proudly served in the United States Navy from 1952 to 1957 during the Korean War. Following his military service, Carl worked as an over-the-road truck driver for 40 years until retiring from Phillips Industries in Clarksville, Texas. After retirement, he moved to Texarkana before returning to Cassville.

Carl loved gardening and took great pride in keeping a beautiful yard. He also enjoyed crafting, woodworking, bird hunting with his favorite dog Liz, and spending Saturday afternoons visiting with family and friends under the shade of a tree. He will be remembered for his hardworking nature and his love for family. Carl was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Clarksville, Texas, the Scottish Rite in Dallas, Texas, and the Hella Shriners in Dallas Texas.

The family would like to thank the staff of the Missouri Veterans Home in Mt. Vernon, Missouri for their outstanding care, kindness, and attention shown to him.

Services with Military Honors will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, June 3, 2026 at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Garret Akin will conduct the services. A private burial will be held at Antioch Cemetery in Cassville, Missouri.
