Betty Baker, age 88, of Forsyth, Missouri,
Betty Baker, age 88, of Forsyth, Missouri, died Friday, July 3 in the Forsyth Nursing and Rehab Center. She was born October 20, 1937, in Itasca, Illinois, the daughter of Floyd and Mildred (Pfluger) Baker. She lived most of her life in Itasca and Medinah, Illinois, before moving to Forsyth in 1995.
Before retiring, she worked for decades as a secretary at the Jewel Foods headquarters in Melrose Park, Illinois. She was a member of Forsyth United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Arlene Gathman and Carole Baker.
She is survived by sister, Janice Margison of Branson, Missouri; three nephews: David, Dale, and Dan Gathman of Elgin, Illinois; and niece Patty Gathman of Waterville, Maine.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday July 16, 2026, at Cremations of the Ozark, 115 Industrial Park Drive, Hollister, Missouri. A private burial will follow at Snapp Cemetery
