With the calendar turning to August, High School Sports Seasons are just around the corner and in a couple of cases, getting underway.
For schools in Missouri, the 10-day "Dead Period" is continuing with no activities scheduled in any sports. Next Monday August 9 is the first day for practice sessions for the Fall Sports Seasons.
Meanwhile, while several sports in Arkansas will be getting their practice sessions underway in the next week or so, one sports is getting underway this week. High School Golf Teams can begin competition with several schools taking part in their opening tournaments, including Harrison which is one of several schools competing in the annual Mountain Home Tournament today and Tuesday.
