The last day of February will see a windy, spring like day in the Lakes Region.
Highs will be in the 70s with west winds gusting up to 30 MPH. With low relative humidity, there is an elevated fire risk for today. The National Weather Service has issued a Red Flag Warning for southern Missouri to discourage outdoor burning today.
A front moves through overnight which will bring temperatures down to more seasonal norms for the weekend but another front early next week will bring thunderstorm chances to the Lakes Region on Tuesday.
