2024 is ending with a mixture of warm and cold temperatures with the potential for some winter weather looming for the first weekend of 2025.
The National Weather Service reports that today will be windy and warm with temperatures in the 60s with southerly breezes gusting between 30-40 MPH. Those same winds will shift to the northwest tonight into Tuesday bringing high temperatures down into the 40s for Tuesday.
A chance of rain and drizzle is in the forecast for today, but the rest of the week remains dry.
NWS Forecasters are keeping an eye on the first weekend of 2025 as some wintery precipitation is possible in parts of the Ozarks. Forecasters will be monitoring a system as it approaches the region that with colder temperatures could produce some winter precipitation.
