Two men die when the boat they were in overturned in the North Fork River in Ozark County.
The Missouri Highway Patrol Water Division Report indicates a boat with three men onboard overturned after hitting a log extending from the bank around 3:30 Friday morning. The boat sank with two of the three men never resurfacing. The body of 32-year-old Michael Dunlop of Norwood was found Friday evening while the body of 60-year-old Robert Smith of Drury was recovered Saturday afternoon. One occupant, 38-year-old Shannon Newton of Dora did make it to shore and was not reported as injured.
Members of the Missouri Highway Patrol and other emergency personnel assisted in the search.
