A Swim Beach along Table Rock Lake is closed until further notice after high levels of E. coli were detected after testing.
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Table Rock Project Office makes the announcement after routine testing conducted by the Stone County Health Department indicated higher than acceptable E. coli levels were detected in the swim beach located near Shell Knob.
The release goes on to say that signs have been posted at Campbell Point indicating the high bacteria levels and that swimming is not recommended.
The release also indicates that area will reopen to swimming once further tests indicates that the bacteria levels are back to normal.
