The sounds of thunder were heard through the Lakes Region this morning as the first round of storms moved through the region.
No severe storm warnings were issued for the Lakes Region, but heavy rain did put parts of northwest Arkansas including Carroll and Madison Counties under a Flood Advisory.
Severe storms did occur along the I-44 Corridor including a Tornado Warning that was issued for the Mount Vernon area earlier this morning.
Rain is expected to move out before the end of the morning though a scattered shower could redevelop late this afternoon.
The next round of storms is expected to begin Saturday night into Sunday with a Slight Risk of severe storms on Sunday.
