A post on the Taney County Sheriff’s Office Facebook Page states that there is no need for alarm as the National Guard engages in testing today.
The Missouri National Guard will be performing “routine training exercises” in the area; according to the post, the Branson Airport has stated that this will happen this afternoon “between 2:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m.”
“They will be flying C130s. The Guard performs this training regularly, and our Dispatch typically receives many calls from concerned citizens. With everything that is going on overseas, we wanted to take a moment to let everyone know that this is routine training, and there is no need for alarm.”
