ING: Helping Businesses Through Networking, Growing

The founder of a southwest Missouri networking group says focusing on members and the communities they live in is important to their growth.

I.N.G., which stands for "Inspiring New Growth," began three years ago according to Gerry Mathis who joined KRZK's "Ozarks Now" program on Monday. She says the focus of the group is to help local business flourish through referrals and exchanging business ideas. The group currently has chapters in Branson, Joplin, Neosho, and Springfield and is in the process of adding a chapter in Billings and another in Springfield.

Mathis adds that half of the money collecting from membership fees goes back to area charities selected by each of the groups.

The Branson Chapter is holding an open house as part of their weekly meeting Tuesday morning at 11:30 at Elevate Branson on Gretna Road for potential new members to learn about the organization and their fundraising efforts.
