A major connection between Branson and Hollister has reopened to traffic.
The Missouri Department of Transportation announces that the ramp between Highway 76 Main Street onto Highway 65 southbound reopened Tuesday evening after being closed since March due to safety reasons while road crews removed the concrete and resurfaced the Highway 65 southbound bridge over Lake Taneycomo between Branson and Hollister and made safety improvements to the bridge's guard rails.
MODOT also announces that both lanes on the bridge are opened after being reduced to one lane during the construction work.
The estimated $1.6 Million Project was part of Governor Mike Parson's Focus on Bridge Program to address some 250 bridges across the state that needed repairs and upgrades.
