The Forsyth Fire and Rescue has added to their corral of vehicles.
Recently, the department’s 1993 KME Engine fire truck was put out of commission due to a bad motor. The department purchased a used 2005 Freightliner Central States with a Waterous 1250 GPM pump and 1,000- gallon tank to replace the KME Engine.
The new engine was placed into service on Sunday, Sept. 17, and within one day it responded to its first fire.
Forsyth Fire Chief Nathan Bower tells the Branson Tri-Lakes News that the funds to purchase the needed new engine came from the fire tax approved for renewal by voters this past April.
