The rain and storms that pelted the Lakes Region moved out on Sunday but the effects are still being felt.
The National Weather Service is continuing Flood Warnings into early Tuesday morning due to the runoff of rain that saw some areas receive six inches of rain.
The Flood Warning includes the James River in Christian and Stone Counties which is currently above Flood Stage. Other areas including northern Barry and Stone Counties as well as the metro Springfield area remain under Flood Warnings into early Tuesday morning.
The storms Saturday and early Sunday morning led to a pair of Tornado Warnings for the Lakes Region, one in Barry County in Missouri while the other hit in northern Arkansas in Carroll and Madison Counties. No damage has been reported from those storm though power outages did result from the storms.
A break in the rain for the next couple of days with cooler temperatures in the 70s and 80s before the next chance of rain Wednesday evening.
