Branson Mayor Larry Milton provided an update on his health to residents during the Tuesday, Sept. 9, Board of Alderman meeting.
During the meeting Milton said he is experiencing a minor setback to his plans on returning to the chamber. While he said there is improvement to his condition, there are adjustments to the timeline on his recovery.
“I can tell you that every day I’m getting better,” Milton said via video link. “Unfortunately, the time to return is being extended. I’m not recovering quite as fast as many of us hoped. I can assure you I’m putting in 100% and nobody wants me back there quicker than I do. I’m going to keep working my butt off.”
City Administrator Cathy Stepp said Branson residents don’t need to worry Milton’s physical absence is impacting his ability to be a city leader.
