A Barry County man has died after a bike he was riding on collided with a tractor trailer rig.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash took place Wednesday morning when the bicyclist, 30-year-old James Fogerty of Washburn, failed to yield to the tractor trailer truck traveling on Highway 39 and collided with the rig. Fogerty was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the rig was not injured in the crash.
This is the 133rd fatality in crashes worked by Troop D of the Missouri State Highway Patrol in 2023.
