The Alpena School District will hold a drill to prepare in case an evacuation of the school campus is necessary.
The school posted a copy of a letter sent to parents by School Resource Officer with the Boone County Sheriff's Office Erik Del-Real advising them of the drill which is taking place on Thursday. The drill will simulate a situation which requires the school's students, teachers, and staff to evacuate from the school to their evacuation location which is the Alpena First Baptist Church. The post states that students will be closely supervised during the evacuation drill.
