This month's Ozark Mountain Bank Teacher of the Month party took us to the hallowed halls of Branson High School, to the classroom of April Fiesler. Ms. Fiesler is the yearbook advisor and marketing teacher for a group of creative and bright students at BHS, Ms. Fiesler and several of her high schoolers, have spearheaded an effort to bring fresh water to a village in Ethiopia with the "Pirates Dig a Well" project. Last summer they make the trek to Africa to experience living conditions and educational opportunities for those in the village and surrounding area they were trying to help.
Ms. Fiesler and her class took a bit of a break from their deadline of putting the yearbook together to enjoy a pizza party from Parmesan Pizzeria in Branson West and ice cream from Cold Stone Creamery. She and the students received gifts and certificates from Ozark Mountain Bank, Branson Titanic Museum Attraction, Cold Stone Creamery, Famous Dave's BBQ and The Track Family Fun Parks, plus she was presented with the commemorative "Joy of Learning" plaque from The Sign Man.
Those helping put the party together and celebrating with Ms. Fiesler and her class included: Wilbur the Pig and Wayne from Famous Dave's BBQ; Roger Frieze representing Ozark Mountain Bank; Cold Stone Creamery's Angie Still, Julie Wilson from The Track Family Fun Parks, BHS principal, Chip Arnett, Brenda Romine, Communications Director of Branson Schools and from Hometown Radio - Robb Stark, Lesli Bruce, Casie Earls and Janet Ellis.
