Current Western District Commissioner Jim Strafuss says is not running for re-election. Strafuss has announced he is seeking a State Senate seat.

Filing for office is set to begin February 28th, unless the Missouri legislature delays the process because of ongoing legal issues surrounding the boundary maps that are in place.

The last audit was done 10 years ago, and according to Ron Houseman who is "sad to report" many of the suggestions were not implemented....These suggestions should have been a work in progress, any good business has an ongoing review of it's operations and its financial position The current commissioners are wise to start this before another ten years passes, find the money for the audit, or the 75,000 for the audit may end up becoming 10x that because "I am sad to report" we misplaced or someone borrowed a million dollars. I can't wait until Feb. 28th, someone else needs to run for Mr. Strafuss's office. Think I might do that!
