If you have a student attending Missouri Southern State University, it’s going to cost you a little more to send them to class in the fall.
The Joplin Globe newspaper reports that the university’s Board of Governors has accepted a committee recommendation to raise tuition next semester by almost 6-and-a-half-dollars per credit hour, bringing the total up to nearly 169-dollars-and-50-cents.
Board members also said no to across the board salary increases for the coming year, and asked the university’s president to develop a balanced budget and maintain cash reserves.
