Skaggs Regional Medical Center’s Volunteer Services is offering scholarships to students studying in a healthcare field. Application deadline is April 2, 2012.

Some of the areas of study include: nursing, dentistry, respiratory therapy, physical therapy, radiology, pharmacy, and much more. Last year Skaggs Volunteer Services provided $7,000 in scholarship money for area students seeking careers in healthcare.

The scholarships total $1,000 per year.

-Financial need of the individual.
-A grade point average of 2.5 or better.
-Completed scholarship application and required supporting documents.
-An interview may be requested at the discretion of the scholarship committee.

Recommendations will be made by the scholarship committee to the Skaggs Volunteer Executive Board for final approval. Applications are available at www.skaggs.net/volunteerscholarship or by stopping by the Volunteer Services office, located in Skaggs Outpatient Center. For more information call (417) 335-7114.
