Skaggs Regional Medical Center’s Volunteer Services is offering scholarships to students studying in a healthcare field. Application deadline is April 2, 2012.
Some of the areas of study include: nursing, dentistry, respiratory therapy, physical therapy, radiology, pharmacy, and much more. Last year Skaggs Volunteer Services provided $7,000 in scholarship money for area students seeking careers in healthcare.
The scholarships total $1,000 per year.
-Financial need of the individual.
-A grade point average of 2.5 or better.
-Completed scholarship application and required supporting documents.
-An interview may be requested at the discretion of the scholarship committee.
Recommendations will be made by the scholarship committee to the Skaggs Volunteer Executive Board for final approval.
